Loloma Pears

Loloma Pear is done as an homage to Charles Loloma, the famous Native American artist who played with the idea of fractured objects in jewelry: almost cubist in concept. Here I have taken a pear and done half in bronze and the other half in pieces of painted wood placed in a bronze frame. Perhaps the questions it poses are as important as the piece itself. “Is the pear really the sum of its parts?”
