Fox necklace

This necklace was inspired by medieval ornament found on column capitals in churches throughout the British Isles.

Animals and the folk lore surrounding them were an important part of the lives of people of the Middle Ages. They were filled with mythic and religious symbolism.

The Fox comes from my sculpture, UNDER COVER, and in both I am drawn to the sense of mystery behind this enigmatic creature.
